Welcome to Kindred Spirits Schoolhouse, a microschool nestled on the North Shore of Massachusetts, dedicated to rekindling the spirit of traditional, holistic education. Born from a vision to create a nurturing environment, our schoolhouse is a place where children from pre-K to grade 6 can discover their passions, unlock their potential, and embark on a journey of lifelong learning.

Our Story

Kindred Spirits Schoolhouse was founded by a former public school teacher who believed that the early years of education are crucial in laying the foundation for a child’s future. Disenchanted by the absence of wholesome values and removal of developmentally appropriate practices in conventional schooling, she sought to create a space that honors the importance of childhood experiences, fosters a sense of community, and embraces the joy of learning through exploration and play. Our name, Kindred Spirits Schoolhouse, reflects our commitment to creating a close-knit community of learners, teachers, and families who support and inspire each other every day.
